ROUGH SILK Part Ways With Drummer, Announce Replacement
March 12, 2005German epic/melodic metallers ROUGH SILK have parted ways with drummer Thomas Becker. "Thomas has left the band because of his family," singer Ferdy Doernberg writes on the group's web site. "But we were ready to find Detlef 'Dizzy' Kroll. He's our new drummer since a few weeks. He was in a band called TRIBE 13 before and I was the the producer of their CD. He really kicks our asses from behind and is definitely the loudest drummer I've always played with! And a cool and nice guy, too! Welcome!!!"
As previously reported, ROUGH SILK recently parted ways with bassist Ralf Schwertner, guitarist Nils Wunderlich and drummer Herbert Hartmann. Rounding out the group's current lineup are André Hort (bass, A.O.D.) and Mike Mandel (guitar, A.O.D.).
